"Our client Nemaska Lithium mandated us to transport a huge lot of electric enclosures to be installed in the Becancour process plant. The movement of the ehouses from the point of origin (named in law) to the destination of Becancour, Québec went well under our supervision.
Our expertise in multimodal transport management was solicited when our client’s carrier received refusals for their road transport permit applications. We have therefore implemented a solution using several barges from Port Weller to Becancour. Our mandate included transport from the manufacturer, loading of barges using cranes, generators and stowage, and maritime transport
In order to meet the customer's needs and to move the enclosures safely, we went on site to analyze it, plan the move by developing technical drawings and prepare the road for transportation as well as site for loading.
On the day itself, the ehouses were loaded under the supervision of the team, and because every step was well thought out, the transport went as planned, without a hitch.
This project is one of the many mandates that Nemaska Lithium has given us over the years. In fact, we wanted to thank them for their confidence in Summit to deliver their large-scale transports."
